About

I photograph the in-between hours — the light just before a place wakes and just after it lets go. Mostly on film, always on foot.

Based on the north coast, working anywhere there is weather worth waiting for. Selected frames have travelled to small print fairs and a handful of patient collectors. Prints are made by hand, in short editions, on cotton rag.

Design rules

The system, applied to any site

Every rule below travels with the template — describe your tweaks and the agent keeps the system intact.

What it decides for you

  • Imagery leads, always: build every section around full-bleed or edge-to-edge photographs and let the picture be the headline, with the canvas a true near-black (#0A0A0B) so images glow against it.
  • Keep the interface near-invisible — a thin white wordmark, sparse letter-spaced nav and small captions; never let chrome, buttons or labels compete with a photo for attention.
  • Use a strict, uniform gallery grid with consistent square or 4:5 tiles and tight ~8-12px gutters of pure black, so the work reads as a contact sheet rather than a busy collage.
  • Restrain color to monochrome plus one warm accent (#E7C58B) reserved for active states, hairline rules and the occasional numeral; all type is white or muted grey, nothing more.
  • Stay quiet and cinematic: near-sharp 2px corners, hairline borders, generous black negative space, a fine serif for titles over crisp sans captions, and only slow, subtle hover dims — no bounce, no shadows, no gradients on the photos.
