Design rules

The system, applied to any site

Every rule below travels with the template — describe your tweaks and the agent keeps the system intact.

What it decides for you

  • Lead with character: build sections around big, chunky rounded shapes (18–28px radii), bold display headings and a warm off-white canvas (#FFF7EC) so colour and artwork pop without feeling clinical.
  • Restrain the palette to a warm off-white plus a few vivid accents — coral (#FF5A5F), sky blue (#2FB4E6) and sunflower yellow — and let any empty image slot become a flat bright colour block rather than grey filler.
  • Vary the gallery: mix tile sizes (a big feature, tall and wide cells, small squares) so the grid feels hand-arranged and shows range instead of a uniform contact sheet.
  • Add sticker-like accents sparingly — a squiggle, a star, a numbered badge — to nudge the eye and give a friendly, hand-made feel, but never crowd the work.
  • Keep type friendly and legible: a rounded display face for headings, a soft humanist sans for body, generous line-height, and high-contrast dark ink (#221B33) on the off-white.
  • Use soft, low-spread shadows and full-width colour bands (coral CTA) to separate sections, keeping the whole page cheerful, breezy and easy to scan.
