Keycraft

Keycraft is a single-product commerce template built for one obsessively-made object — a premium mechanical keyboard. A warm near-black, desk-lit canvas keeps all attention on the product: a split hero pairs confident type with a large product shot and one Buy CTA that carries the price everywhere. A three-column spec grid, two alternating detail close-ups (keycaps and internals), a visual switch/variant picker with beveled keycap swatches, a sound-and-feel waveform callout, an enthusiast testimonial with a stat band, and a final split buy CTA all reinforce the one purchase. The signature "keycap tab" eyebrow — a small top-lit, key-shaped chip — threads every section so the page reads like one keyboard. Tactile and precise with a touch of enthusiast warmth; live-recolorable via the Studio.

Tactile, precise and enthusiast-warm — a single-product stage where a warm near-black desk lights one flagship keyboard.

Every part chosen, then over-built.

Hot-swap switches

Every socket is 5-pin hot-swap — pull a switch, drop in another, no soldering, no downtime.

65% layout

Arrows and a nav cluster with none of the dead space. 68 keys, gasket-mounted, tuned for reach.

CNC aluminium

A 6063 aluminium unibody, bead-blasted and anodised, milled from a single billet at ±0.05mm.

Doubleshot PBT

Cherry-profile doubleshot PBT keycaps — legends that never fade, a texture that never shines.

Silent foam stack

Poron plate foam, PE film and a case dampener kill hollowness for a deep, rounded thock.

Tri-mode connect

USB-C, Bluetooth 5.2 across three devices, or 2.4GHz — a 4000mAh cell runs it for weeks.

The keycaps

Doubleshot PBT, in Cherry profile.

Legends are moulded, never printed — a second shot of plastic that will outlast the board itself. The 1.5mm walls give each cap a solid, muted knock, and the fine PBT grain resists the greasy shine that plagues ABS.

Sculpted rows for touch-typing
Grippy sub-surface texture
Shine-through legends optional
The internals

A gasket mount that flexes just right.

The plate floats on Poron gaskets rather than screwing to the case, so each press gives a gentle, uniform cushion. Five layers of foam and film below it erase hollowness and ping, leaving one clean note.

Three feels. Swap any time.

Choose the switch it ships with — the hot-swap sockets mean you can change your mind with a keycap puller, not a soldering iron.

The sound & feel

You will type slower for a day, just to keep listening.

Every board is sound-tested before it ships — a deep, marbly knock with no ping, no rattle, no hollowness.

I've built a dozen boards from parts. Keycraft ships better-tuned than anything I've assembled — and I still can't stop rebuilding mine.

Design rules

The system, applied to any site

  • Commit the whole page to a single product: one flagship object, one price, and one Buy call-to-action that reappears in the nav, hero, and closing section carrying the same price.
  • Anchor everything on a warm near-black canvas so the product photography and the amber accent do the talking; keep large surfaces calm and let accent moments stay small and deliberate.
  • Build depth from a single warm-obsidian surface: hairline 1px borders, a faint top inner-light, and large soft shadows tinted with the accent rather than neutral grey.
  • Thread the "keycap tab" motif — a small top-lit, key-shaped mono uppercase eyebrow chip — through every section so the page reads like one keyboard.
  • Sell the object through detail: alternating close-up sections, a visual switch/variant picker with beveled keycap swatches, and a sound/feel callout instead of generic marketing copy.
  • Pair a crisp geometric heading typeface with a neutral body font and a system monospace for labels and specs; round containers to ~18px and keep the design static and recolor-safe.
