Brut is a deliberately unstyled-but-intentional template for creative studios that want to look loud and confident. It leans on thick visible borders, a hard rectangular grid, oversized uppercase grotesk headlines and monospace labels, all in stark black and concrete grey with one harsh acid-green accent. Works read as a numbered list, services sit in raw blocks, and contact is a single huge monospace email.

Design rules

The system, applied to any site

Every rule below travels with the template — describe your tweaks and the agent keeps the system intact.

What it decides for you

  • Build everything on a hard rectangular grid with thick, visible black borders (2–3px) and absolutely no rounded corners or soft shadows.
  • Stay stark: a concrete off-white canvas (#F2F1EC), near-black ink (#0A0A0A) and one harsh acid-green accent (#C6F500) used sparingly as solid blocks, never gradients.
  • Pair a heavy grotesk (Archivo) for oversized uppercase headlines with a monospace (JetBrains Mono) for all labels, metadata and small print.
  • Set hero type as large as it will go, left-aligned and tight, and let it bleed into the grid rather than centring or balancing it.
  • Present work as a numbered list (01 / 02 / 03) with name, year and medium split by heavy dividers, not as a polished card gallery.
  • Keep it deliberately unstyled-but-intentional — exposed structure, monospace captions and blunt one-line copy beat decoration.
