• Build on a warm graphite canvas (#14171f) with raised panels (#1c2029) so cards float; separate dense regions with hairline 1px borders (#2a2f3a) instead of shadows.
• Reserve amber (#f59e0b) for live, urgent or primary signals — active counts, delays, the selected lane — and sky-blue (#38bdf8) for routes, in-transit data and secondary series; keep everything else neutral so accents read as status.
• Set every id, ETA, count and figure in a monospaced tabular face so codes and times line up in columns and KPIs scan vertically.
• Drive status with coloured pills and dots: amber for delayed, sky-blue for in transit, green for delivered, muted grey for scheduled — never rely on text alone.
• Keep spacing compact (12–16px gutters) with uppercase tracked micro-labels above each metric so the board stays legible at small sizes and high density.
