Design rules

The system, applied to any site

Every rule below travels with the template — describe your tweaks and the agent keeps the system intact.

What it decides for you

  • Build everything on a near-black canvas (around #0B0B0D) with warm off-white ink, and keep the palette strictly monochrome except for one restrained warm-amber accent reserved for the eyebrow labels, hover states and small emphasis.
  • Open with an atmospheric, full-bleed hero: layer a dark gradient and faint grain over imagery, center an oversized serif statement at roughly 64-120px with tight -0.02em tracking and 1.0 line-height, and let it dominate at least 90vh.
  • Make big statements the structural device — lead each section with one short, declarative serif line, drop hard to 16-18px muted body, and keep the type scale jumping by at least 4x between headline and copy.
  • Lay out selected work as a restrained two-column case-study grid with hairline borders, uppercase letter-spaced category labels and small index numerals, letting generous 100px+ vertical padding frame each piece.
  • Keep corners soft but minimal (4-6px), borders hairline and low-contrast against the dark surface, and prefer slim outlined buttons over filled ones so the accent stays rare and deliberate.
